Description

This particular XJ-S convertible is a particularly early example, being first registered in 1988 - the first year of XJ-S Convertible production. Being a 'second generation XJ-S, it is also fitted with the refined 'HE' V12 engine, with input from Swiss engineer Michael May in the form of the Fire Ball combustion chamber, which resulted in both increased fuel economy and additional power. This car is in full-on 'time-warp' condition, showing only a smidge over 10,000 miles on the odometer, and presenting in excellent condition, as you'd expect for such a low-mileage car. The care has only 2 owners, and has been lovingly cherished it for its entire existence. Used regularly for the first few years of its life, the car has always been kept in a heated garage, which goes a long way to explaining the incredible condition that it presents in. There is a wealth of paperwork that accompanies the car, including the original Jaguar owners manual and document file, the original purchase invoice for the car, numerous old MOT certificates, and a selection of old RAC members books and memorabilia. The interior has cream leather and perhaps the cleanest XJ-S interior available. The steering wheel looks like it's barely ever been held, to the seats which appear to have barely ever been breathed on - let alone sat in - the condition of the cabin in this gorgeous GT car really is a sight to behold. The boot is also pristine, and comes complete with matching spare wheel cover, correct battery cover, toolbox and Jaguar bag. It actually looks as if the boot has never been used. The exterior of this XJ-S also looks simply stunning. The blue paintwork looks rich enough to swim in. The soft top is in just as fantastic condition as the rest of the car, meaning the new owner can rest easy knowing their car is waterproof. The wheels, despite being intricate, are all immaculate, with no signs of corrosion, kerbing, or any other damage whatsoever. The car has been lovingly looked after. The lower doors and wheel arches are all free from corrosion, which is a massive plus point on cars such as this. Next MOT due 20/04/2024, Blue, 2 owners, £38,500
