Description

Advertised for sale is a 2007 Mk5 R32 Golf. This has been my daily driver for several years and I have to say, what a cracking daily driver it has been. Hatchback practicality, a sure footed chassis for all weather conditions and a warbling V6 that drips with character.A fastidious level of care has been performed on the car. Regular servicing, preventative maintenance and a "while I am in there" attitude, has resulted in a very well sorted car. With a service just completed and a full years MOT, the car is ready to go. Aside from oil changes and spark plug changes, commonly ignored items such as the gearbox and rear differential fluids have been changed. Don't worry the Haldex has been serviced too.On the more mechanical side of things, the shocks springs and most of the suspension arms have been replaced. Sachs OE shocks and springs have been chosen, as to not lower the car and alter the ride comfort. Meyle HD suspension arms and drop links were chosen for a tighter feel, without major NVH. Brakes were changed all round to Brembo discs and pads, with the common seized rear calipers replaced with new items from TRW.Another weak point are the engine mounts, with both upper mounts replaced. Finally as a nod to an upgrade, the very expensive downpipes that commonly fail, have been replaced with upgraded stainless steel items, with sports cats, these are significantly better designed than the OE items, partnered with a remap for optimised fuelling, offer a nice boost to 278BHP, notable mid range performance, all while remaining MOT legal.A full, glass out respray has been completed by one of, if not the best body repair companies in the country (WJ Blair). This remedied the common poor quality of paint work on the Mk5 Golf from the factory. Ultimately the lacquer peel really took away from the car, so I couldn't sell it as it was. I have photos during the process to illustrate. As possibly the only noticeable modification, an aftermarket Android head unit has been installed, the original will come with the car. I am happy to answer any questions from a genuine enthusiast and would hope the car goes to a fellow petrol head to enjoy for many years to come. I am based in Northern Ireland, near both airports and docks. So selling the car throughout the rest of the UK. A walk round video and or call is easily achievable. Next MOT due 13/09/2025, Full service history, Red, 5+ owners, £12,995
