Description

I purchased this MGB on a whim in September 2024 (my wife and daughter thought it so pretty!) and since then have only done 285 miles in it and that includes the 50 or so bringing it home from the auction! I just don't use it. I have a house at the coast where we stay in the summer and I dare not take it there as the salt air and sand could damage it. It hasn't been out in the rain for years. So when can I use it? So reluctantly I'm going to have to part with it. It has to be one of the best MGBs around. In the last 20,000 miles it has been resprayed Tartan red, had a new hood, new leather seats, Mota Lita steering wheel, new carpets, new interior trim. It has chrome luggage rack, new rear brakes, rebuilt gearbox, a front suspension rebuild, New Ivor Searle balanced engine (13,946 miles ago), stainless steel exhaust system, Chrome wire wheels, new front and rear hubs and wheel bearings, electronic ignition, new fuel pump and fuel lines, new security locks, carburettors stripped and necessary parts renewed, and the car has been resprayed again! Servo brakes have been fitted also a new battery and new half tonneau. The tyres are hardly worn. The car is also fitted with a battery isolation switch as MGBs have a habit of draining their batteries (see the owners club mag) This MG is fitted with overdrive which in my opinion is vital. It has a Kenlowe fan fitted, also vital. The car has an MOT until May 2026, obviously no advisories. There is an owners handbook and a Haynes manual. The service history file on this car is 3 inches thick but most importantly it is an absolute joy to drive. If I don't sell it it will be no hardship to keep it, even if I only drive it on rare occasions! (in 2022 this car was sold for 17,500)
