We have owned the vehicle from new and have had fabulous holidays all over Scotland, Wales and Ireland. The vehicle has, however, never been used for camping. We have always stayed overnight in hotels or Airbnb. Consequently, the onboard cooker has never been used, the beds have never been slept on and even the picnic chairs are still in their original wrapping. When travelling all of the seats have been covered with protective materials and are thus totally unmarked. The floor has also been covered with carpeting and mats throughout and any surface which might pick up dirty marks etc have been covered at all times. The 5 piece Comfort mattress has been covered in a custom cloth cover to protect the original materials. The roof mattress in still in it's original wrapping. The photos show the vehicle with and without some of the additional covering we have used. The rear bumper has a large foldout rubber matt which has ensured the bumper remains as near new condition as possible during loading and unloading. The vehicle has performed brilliantly, it feels safe and robust on all road types. The LED headlights are outstanding. The engine has been run-in in accordance with VW recommendations and is achieving an average of ~40mpg.
