For sale is my lovely 2.5 Boxster 986 which I've owned for 10 years. It's a fantastic car and have loved every minute of owning it and only selling because I've upgraded to a 981. It's been extremely reliable and have had very little trouble over the years. It has been serviced and maintained regularly in my 10 year ownership and has just had a full service at 137,000 miles including spark plugs, coil packs and gearbox oil. MOT until 10.10.26. Yokohamas tyres all round: front just fitted (October '25) and rear fitted September '24 so excellent tread all round. The car runs and drives beautifully, engine is sweet and doesn't burn any oil from one service to the next. It has been kept under a car port so stayed dry when not in use. The body work is very good with only a few very minor age related imperfections. I had the hood replaced about 5 years ago with the upgraded heated glass rear screen. A/C works fine (new condensers fitted) and there is a reversing camera. A few bad points : The wheels are tatty and scuffed but because the tyres hold their pressure very well and the wheels give the car a good stance it's never bothered me. The engine does leak a tiny bit of oil but as I said it never needs topping up from one year to the next so is minimal. The roof mechanism is a bit rattly on an uneven road when up, but completely silent when down. The leather seats have some age related wear. The car can't be driven in the clean air zone (unless you pay). In all this is an extremely good car which is testament to Porsches fine build quality and also to the way it's been well cared for over the years. It's fun to drive, sounds nice and holds the road very well. The private number plate was on the car when I bought it so will stay. I really hope the new owner will have as much pleasure from this car as I have. The mileage will increase slightly as it's used most days. MOTd until Oct '26.
