Description

This is my most recent project car. A 2006 Lexus RX400 h in mica grey metallic. I purchased from a Mercedes specialist in London who have looked after the car for the owner for the last 11 years or so. Full book pack and 2 keys. Serviced every year so every 1000-1500 miles. 47300 miles from new (may rise as used daily). The Lexus looks new underneath. I had it washed and then treated with Lanoguard to protect and maintain it. MOT history is excellent. Being a city car there are some scratches, also some minor marks to the interior. I have fitted a new custom fitted rubber boot liner. I have fixed the common water ingress problems (rear seams and bolt holes), and made sure sunroof drains are clean and clear. The Lexus had an intermittent fault causing it to switch off twice on the road reporting a hybrid battery fault. One week with Hybrid Battery Solutions in Northampton where I had the battery removed and cells rebalanced, and the intermittent fault identified - the cooling fans were causing excessive electrical noise on speed 6. I have replaced these with news fans direct from Toyota Japan. The problem has never recurred. The last timing belt and waterpump change was just 15000 or so miles back. and 10 years. I have sourced these directly from Toyota Japan (via Amayama). They are due to be fitted in the next week. If they have not been fitted buy the time you buy the car I will adjust the price down two hundred pounds to cover the labour at and independent garage. I will also get an oil and filter change done with genuine Toyota parts. The heated seats are the warmest i have sat on, and the aircon very. cold. all the electrics work as they should, bar the power tailgate. I don't think i have ever been in such an effortless, comfortable, quiet and serene car. My friend said the other day that it feels like a magic carpet. It is surprisingly quick if you want it to go, and yet i have seen 40 miles per gallon on long easy motorway runs. So, if you are looking for a very well cared for and now well sorted Lexus RX400h, with no underbody corrosion, a rebalanced hybrid battery with new cooling fans a new timing belt and oil change to boot then this might be the car for you. Please note, that as nice as this is, it is an 18 year old car, and am no rush to sell this. Next MOT due 16/06/2025, Grey, 5+ owners, £7,750
