Description
Sadly, I have grown out of my RX8. It's a wonderful car, but I sadly need something a little more practical, subtle and better on fuel. This car came from factory with: 19 Inch Rotary Alloy Wheels, (unique to the R3 Model), Bilstein Suspension all around, a stiffer chassis than the standard Rx8, a Carbon Fibre Prop Shaft, Cruise Control, BOSE speakers, R3 Body kit( very striking compared to the standard car), an additional oil injector to prolong the life of the engine, Bi-Xenon Headlights, LED Tail lights, An automatic red-line that prevents you from revving the engine high whilst it's cold. This supports the engines longevity. I've done some subtle but (in my view) tasteful mods which include: Ryan Rotary Performance coils and leads, protective screens for the oil coolers. At its last MOT it gained:A brand new Racing Beat Exhaust (built specifically for the R3) which sounds great on the power but is pretty subtle around town, grooved and drilled brake disks all around, a new Clutch. This is a truly exceptional car, a definite future classic. How many naturally aspirated, 9,000 RPM rotary engines will there be in the future?! There are a few minor scratches and wear on the seats but nothing that changes overall appeal and thrilling experience of revving the magic Dorito out to its full potential. I have two keys for it, one is an electronic key but it no longer works (I think it needs re-coding) but it still physically locks and unlocks the car and starts it, you just can't do it from distance. The second key is a manual spare key.So, it's a used but well-loved example of a fabulous car. Mazda did everything they could to make the RX8 R3 a worthy swan song for one of the most characterful, interesting engines ever made and as a result It's a wonderful piece of automotive history. I'm very sad to be selling it. Next MOT due 30/05/2025, Red, 4 owners, £7,000
