A personal dream car, got and kept this in great condition -cosmetically and mechanically. Performant and premium-feeling, it also strikes a balance between fun and practical: its compact frame has ample boot space, 4 full-sized seats (all foldable), good 360deg outward visibility, well laid out dash with physical control buttons/knobs for most things, not overly flashy (classic silver colour, impeccable interior w black leather seats, 18" alloy rims in great nick), decent running costs and no signs of any deterioration in whole service history log, lower than average mileage - the quality of car by this calibre of manufacturer is undeniable. Only thing needing attention are the tyres, which are mostly still fine (though I can get them replaced before transfer, if you'd like to neg. prices/choices, likely extra ~200 pounds). This is the peppiest version of this gen: 2.0L, 4-cylinder engine puts out a whopping 207bhp (before Turbo!), paired with VW's smooth dual-clutch DSG automatic gearbox. Throttle response, suspension-stiffness and steering can be altered at your fingertips mid-drive to change the ride from a track-ready, racer, to a soft and quiet, relaxed, daily commuter. The Turbo is SERIOUSLY powerful, and whilst a thrilling selling point, it is most importantly a safety bonus, giving you better overtaking ability on those country lanes, or for merging in crowded, speedy motorways- the larger engine sustaining this power all the way. Other features include shifter paddles behind the steering wheel for override of the DSG at any time but also for the exclusive clutchless manual setting, alarm-based motion sensor around car, heated luxury seats with fine support adjustment in the front, awesome sound system, upgraded media console (large Pioneer touch screen type that works w, bluetooth/usb/Apple Car Play/Android Auto). I only drove it ~5k miles over 5 months (a few short road trips, social, commuting) with no issues at all, and it's the 1st car I've owned get a perfect MOT test. I'm selling due to circumstances against my will, unfortunately- I'm not seeking a replacement car nor would I. Driving it was so much fun, passengers comfortable and impressed.
