Fabulous colour combination in metallic Flamenco Red coupled with Canberra Beige Dakota full leather and wood trim interior. The car has an incredible, rare specification. It is the Luxury model, but also has a huge amount of optional extras including the Tech+Pack. Extras include a much larger, wider 8.8" touchscreen infotainment display, that can also be controlled by the intuitive iDrive system, a brilliant Head Up Display that shows current speed, speed limit, nav directions and other infotainment info, reversing camera, keyless comfort access, active drive, adaptive LED headlights with auto-dip full beam, adaptive cruise control. The list of tech goes on with heated, electrically adjustable front seats with memory function, bluetooth connectivity and Apple CarPlay integration. The two smart keys can be linked to different driver profiles. The car is a plug-in hybrid petrol, which gives excellent fuel economy and amazing performance for an MPV. The battery is easily chargeable overnight on th 3-pin adapter, but can also be fast charged with a type-2 lead from a wall box. You can run the car in fully electric mode, that will enable you to do short journeys like school runs or the pop to the shops, but it is best employed in the automated eDrive mode that utilises the battery when most appropriate. The MyBMW app provides access to car info and functions, allows you to locate and lock/unlock the car remotely and, with having the HV battery, you also have access to the brilliant cabin pre-condition feature that allows you to set timers that ensure the car is warmed up or cooled down prior to your departure. The rear loadspace is nice and flexible for family and loads - the rear seats slide forward/back providing a really spacious passenger area, and they also recline. The seats have a 40:20:40 split fold, which is really practical, and the boot is a good size for everyday family use. We have had the car for nearly 4 years and it has been loved and well looked after. There is hardly a mark on it, externally or internally, and it has been super reliable and a great family car that is lovely to drive and with the performance when you need it. It has a very luxurious feel that you don't find in other MPVs and is a pleasure to be in. It is cheap to run, with good mpg, relatively low insurance costs and nil VED to pay.
