Private Sale - 2012 Audi A3. This is the 1.2 TFSI (turbo) model in white with grey interior. It has a petrol engine so it's ULEZ compliant and won't cause you any problems with diesel-hating councils and certainly no DPF to worry about, meaning it's not going to have any problem with regular short trips (diesels can very much have problems with this driving style). The car has been well used and now has 205,112 miles on the clock, which is testament to the longevity of these cars, but please don't expect it to be in "as new" condition. This is the cheapest car of this spec and year on here (please let me know if you've seen a cheaper one)! It starts perfectly every time and has been driven several times a week for local trips and the occasional longer run now and again. It drives just as it should, although the gear selector sometimes needs to be put into D twice following a cold start. The engine still purrs quietly and it feels like it'll go on forever! I bought the car in 2014 and I'm responsible for the majority of the mileage. I gave it to my wife in 2020 and she's only done 9000 miles since that time. It has a full service history up to the point where it was transferred to my wife and hasn't technically needed a service since that date, although her dad has insisted on changing the oil himself yearly !It had a gearbox rebuild including new clutches at 196k and a new turbo at 150k. These are the components that tend to go wrong and shouldn't need replacement again until they've covered similar mileages. I want to be honest with you and there are a few bad bits which I'll let you know about. The rear wiper would not switch off so the fuse has been removed. The cigarette lighter is faulty and the fuse has been removed from this too. The brake pad warning light is permanently on. The pads are fine but the sensor wires are damaged. The CD player no longer works. There is some minor damage to the bodywork, please see pics. The driver's side seat bolster is worn and there is some stains on the seats, please see pics. The mirrors haven't been adjusted for some time and are reluctant to move. The car is currently SORN so you can't test drive it on the road, but you can certainly come and have a look, start the engine and see that it's working. AA or RAC inspections are welcome!
