After a couple of unforgettable years it is time to sell my wife's Nissan Micra K12. They say you never really own a Micra, you simply look after it for the next generation. For a grand you could be the next chapter in this car's history. Under the bonnet is a 1.2L petrol engine that will literally still be operational after both petrol and people have long disappeared from the earth. It is bulletproof. I don't know what kind of ancient Japanese rituals the boffins at Nissan had to undertake to make this engine but it was worth it. It runs on fresh air and is practically inaudible. The starter motor is new because the old one s**t the bed on the way home from a night of tapas and salsa dancing. The wiper linkage assembly is also new. New battery. New-ish wiper blades. Bodywork-wise there are a few age-commensurate dings and dents but she still looks a million bucks, in the right light. There is almost nothing to report about the interior as Nissan kept things so incredibly simple that I'm surprised they even bothered with a steering wheel. It has seats, electric windows and cup holder. The radio code has been lost to the sands of time, but who needs music when you have laughter? No advisories on the MOT. Previous owners were apparently an old couple that had it for donkey's years, but rest assured we got rid of the old people smell. Children over the age of 12 WILL refuse to get in this car, but luckily it's small enough that you can drop them off right outside the school gates to teach them a lesson. Recent oil change and very recent coolant flush. This car owes me absolutely nothing. It is the most practical piece of metal since the spork. I would happily drive this car for the rest of my days but unfortunately we keep having kids and have thus outgrown it. Are you a fan of vehicles that look like they come from the bubble dimension?
