Description
I am reluctantly selling this awesome car as an opportunity for an electric company car has been presented and it is too good to turn down. This has been mine and my families pride and joy for the last 6 years and 60,000 miles. It is powerful economic and has enough space to fit a family of four and a weeks worth of camping gear in it.
It is the last of the Mark 7 shapes and as such has a couple of nice extras such as keyless entry and heated seats. I had the VW Garage add Apple Car play when I bought it
It has full main dealer service history. It had the cambelt and water pump done on 23/11/2021 at 47,328 miles. It had new disks and pads all round in January 2024, It had new front tyres in February 2024. It has 11 months MOT and on that MOT the tyres were measured at 5mm on the front and 6.5 on the rear. In October I started getting a strange noise whilst decelerating, turns out the diff was failing so it had a brand new Gearbox and diff on warranty. Whilst the gearbox was out the car I was also advised it would save me costs in the future to do the clutch and flywheel, so even though these weren't overly worn I had those done as well. All work has always been carried out at a VW main dealer.
Unfortunately in October 2023 the car was stolen from my drive. The thieves broke in to my house took the key and drove it 15 miles down the road and parked it up. The police recovered it about 6 hours later. When I picked it up from the police compound I drove it to a local and friendly VW Bodyshop and asked them to find anything that may need replacing soon/scuffs and marks on the car and get them done through the insurance. The car actually suffered no damage when it was taken but the Bodyshop just tried to do me a favour by getting the general wear and tear marks which are still present today done. The Bodyshop put such a high bill in the insurance company unfortunately wrote it off. Hence the CAT N marker. I have not repaired anything on this car since that marker was attached as there was nothing wrong with it.
Unfortunately I only have one key for the car now due to the theft but the other one has been decoded from the car so can not be used to access it. The thieves also threw away the SD card for the sat nav (apparently they quite often do this in case it is a tracker) As I had apple car play fitted to the car I never used the factory sat nav and therefore never bothered replacing it.
