Thank you for viewing my wonderful Mazda RX-9 PZ - in my view the best example of the best RX-8 model. The PZ was a limited edition of 800 cars produced for the UK market only; a collaboration with Prodrive (of Subaru rally fame) and OZ Racing wheels - hence PZ! The suspension set up features custom Bilstein dampers, Eibach springs which are 60% stiffer than standard, and a 15mm reduction in ride height. In addition there are the lightweight 10 spoke OZ Racing wheels, a Prodrive custom exhaust system, low-drag mirrors and a rear spoiler. As well as working better on the track, the sophisticated damping meant the car was optimised for the classic British bumpy B road never losing composure when pushed. Oh, and it has an illuminated gear lever, just in case.... This car is a unicorn. Two prior owners and a full Mazda service history from new, with a 19 annual visits on the Mazda Digital Service record - incredible. I have a folder full of service receipts as well as the original PZ sales brochure. Since acquiring the car I have spent about 4k making sure the car works right. This included four new Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres, a replacement front lower arm, a replacement cooling expansion tank (level sensor broken), a replacement new Mazda steering rack (many RX-8s suffer from unequal assistance left to right - mine did and this was the cure - over 2k bill), a replacement central console (prior one was scratched) and some genuine floor mats for good measure. The car is in fantastic cosmetic condition for its age with the paintwork retaining a deep shine and the leather interior in near perfect condition. I have experienced no engine running issues whatsoever (hot starting etc.) and this is backed up by a very recent compression test done using Mazda test equipment (see photos) at the UK's number 1 independent specialist. The spec includes climate control (AC works great!), Bose sound system and heated seats. So why am I selling a dream car that took so long to find? A recent flat purchase means that I need the money for a new kitchen etc. and as this is not my daily driver it sadly has to go. I'll miss it! Now for the boring stuff.
