Parting ways with this rare Volvo S80 featuring a 4.4 V8 engine built by Yamaha. Despite the 142k miles, it's in excellent mechanical condition with recent major service. These engines are known for their reliability when properly maintained. I've owned it for 18 months but need something more practical (750 tax and 13mpg isn't ideal when working from home and still spending 350/month on fuel!). The transversely-mounted V8 makes 315bhp, sounds amazing for a Volvo; especially with the double resonator delete, and with AWD surprises people at traffic lights. Plus, it's ULEZ compliant! Comes loaded with adaptive headlights, adaptive suspension, heated/cooled seats, and even a built-in telephone for trapping (unfortunately, this is broken, so no actual trapping). GOOD POINTS - Major service completed December 2024 - MOT until December - no advisories (child seat doesn't count) - Almost pristine MOT history (ONE failure in 18 years) - HPI clear with no accidents or outstanding finance - K&N intake filter (fitted before my ownership) - New xenon bulbs, - Four new tyres - Recent engine carbon clean - New front discs/pads - Both resonators removed - Headlights sanded and restored SERVICE HISTORY 12 miles (yes, really), 2k, 3k, 9k, 17k, 25k, 33k, 39k, 44k, 52k, 57k, 74k, 117k, 133k and 139k miles. Some gaps in service intervals but recent maintenance has been thorough and documented. ISSUES - Minor scuffs/scratches around the bodywork (no rust anywhere) - Two small paintless dents on roof (hardly noticeable) - Cracked headlight washer reservoir (still holds 1L, and passed MOT) - Faulty fuel level sender at 1/4 tank (I just always refuel at 1/4) - Alloys need refurbishment/resurrection (structurally fine, cosmetically challenged) The car DOES needs some cosmetic TLC but is mechanically sound and everything works as it should. There are a couple for sale with mechanical/rust issues so my price reflects the half-decent condition and recent work. If you're interested in this car, you likely already know how special and rare it is. I am open to reasonable offers.
