** SPARES OR REPAIRS - NO MOT!! ** Selling my Jeep Cherokee which has been off the road for about a year after failing MOT. Kept meaning to get round to sorting it and getting back on the road but just never got to it and with a very busy job, a newborn baby and other projects on the go I've just not had the time and can't see myself having the time any time soon so I feel like its best to move it on! Failed due to rust on back ends of both sills which wouldn't be a major job to sort out but there are a few other issues to mention : - Oil leak coming from back of engine dripping down from bell housing, definitely engine oil, could be from rocker cover gasket but will need cleaning and investigating properly. - Rear axle rusty - all looks solid but probably would benefit from a clean up and coat of Lanoguard - Rust on back end of roof panel around high level brake light - doesn't leak or anything just doesn't look great and would have been on my list to sort at some point. - Knocking coming from rear end - looks to be from rear upper A arm ball joint which is a common issue on these. - Slight play in left front wheel bearing. Good Points : - Body fairly tidy for an old truck and would polish up pretty well. - Engine and gearbox seem to be in fairly good health, puff of smoke on start up when it has been sitting a while but this clears within a minute or so and then no smoke at all even under hard acceleration. - Had rear diff rebuild in 2022 at local gearbox specialist (invoice available for proof). - 4x4 system all appears to work as it should including low range. - Comes with 5 steel wheels with matching General Grabber AT3s all with good tread. - Safari snorkel fitted. - 2 inch suspension lift. - Stacks of service history and 2 keys with fobs. Would ideally suit someone with the time or money to get it sorted and back on the road or to trailer to pay and play days for a bit of fun. If I had the space to keep it and the time to work on it I probably would do all the work needed but I don't unfortunately! Looking for around 950 or nearest offer which I don't think is too unreasonable considering the bits it has on it, but feel free to make me an offer - I can only say yes or no!
