1997 Mazda Mx-5 - 1.8 Manual NO MOT Expired 13/03/2025 This car is a project that has many issues, will have to be transported away. I cannot fix this car as I lack the space to do anything. Below I have listed the pros and the cons of this car. Pros: 1.8 manual, top spec and most sought after model of the first generation Car starts and drives no problem Clutch, tyres, radiator and serpentine belt were replaced less than a year ago, car has only driven 1000 miles in that time Interior is mostly in good condition Car is completely unmodified, which is rare to come across Cons Rust on rear arches and sills (view pictures) Underbody rust including on the chassis rail Various suspension bushings are worn out, along with the coils+struts, anti roll bar problems Car will fail emissions test, unsure what is the cause (there's smoke coming from between the heat shield and engine, so it could be a manifold seal.) Paint on the rear end is faded (see picture) No service history, only have what I have done in the last year 10 previous owners There's clearly a lot wrong with this car but at least you will know what to expect. As mentioned before the car can drive on its own, but as there's no MOT the car must be transported. Please contact me if interested.
