Description

Porsche 911 (997) Carrera 2S - Guards Red 26,500 ono Approx. 91,500 miles (still being enjoyed!) A Cherished 911 in a Rare Colour This was my first 911 - and I've loved every moment of owning it. It's in Guards Red, which I searched specifically for: it's rare, striking, and (to me at least) the colour a 911 was born to be. It's not a garage queen - I've used it regularly, responsibly, and kept on top of everything it's needed. Details: - 2006 Porsche 911 (997) Carrera 2S - Black leather interior, red seat belts, Alcantara headlining - 19" Lobster Claw alloys (refurbished recently) with crested centres - PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) - Full service history (Porsche and specialists) - 2 keys - Private plate not included (unless, miraculously, it suits you!) - Porsche floor mats Upgrades & Maintenance: I've spent over 11,000 during my ownership on services, maintenance and general care. Highlights include: - Brand new JVC DAB stereo with Apple CarPlay (original unit retained) - 4x Michelin Pilot Sport 2 (N2) tyres - Major service completed - Replaced: front shocks, springs, brakes, ignition switch, crossover pipe, oil separator, and more - Always used Castrol Edge Titanium 5W-40 - Always warmed up gently - never over 2,000rpm until fully up to temperature The elephant in the room - bore score: Some faint marks (they will never be mark-less) were spotted when I bought it. Specialists seem divided; obviously for some cars it leads to an engine rebuild my view has been that driving less than 5,000 miles per year I had years to save and obviously have not yet had to worry about it. Why am I sell (this beautiful car)? It was my first 911 - I've loved it, cherished it, and tracked every penny spent (meticulously!) But I've always wanted to go back to a Lotus Elise, and I'm finally doing it. Would you like to see or drive it? I work from home and can usually be flexible with timings - just drop me a message and we can work something out. Aside from the stereo (and some removable Le Mans decals - there's still time if you want to take it this year ;o), this is an original, unmodified example of a true modern classic. It's been an absolute privilege to own, and I'd love to see it go to someone who'll appreciate it as much as I have. Happy to answer any questions or send more photos - please get in touch :o)
