Description

1997 BMW 5 Series SE 2.0 520i SE Saloon 4dr Petrol Automatic 127k The story behind this sale, I acquired this car through starting a new job, although I would love to continue using this car, having 5 other cars unfortunately I must say goodbye. The car was owned by a local family who had the car from new. They then kept the car in the family for 23 years which as you can see from the MOT history didn't put a great deal of mileage on it. With a little TLC, this may be one worth putting away for the future perhaps. It certainly has the foundations of a great car. Here are the bits that are unique to the vehicle: 127,000 mileage 3 owners in total, the previous owner has owned for 23 years. The owner before that, who owned from new was a member of his family. Automatic transmission Full V5 and owners manual present 2 keys HPI clear Mechanically very good The gearbox is smooth and changes well Everything works electronically The interior is in phenomenal condition There are minimal/no corrosion issues underneath the car The service history is patchy but there are some bits there. The previous owner said that it was regularly serviced by his nephew and there are a few receipts for service parts to back this up. I have no reason to believe otherwise. Work I have completed: Full Service - Engine Oil , Oil Filter, Air Filter, Cabin Filter, Gearbox Oil, Coolant Change. Brand new battery fitted. Rear anti roll bar drop link fitted. The wheels are in good condition MOT until 22nd December 2025 Not so good bits: There are a few rust patches (pleas see pics). The worst affected area is the boot. The wings are not bad at all for a BMW of this age. To get the bodywork back to standard, it will take a little TLC but by no means a full respray job! Overall, it is a pretty good example. It has been dry stored for the majority of its life and used less and less over the past few years. Thank you for looking. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
