Description

This is a Volvo V50 1.6 DRIVe from 2010. I am the 4th owner and have run it for the last 2 years. I purchased this in 2023 and have added around 13k miles to the clock. The condition of the car is very good considering its age. A few small marks of wear and tear inside and out but nothing major. The worst marks are on the wheels and some plastics on the side mirrors have cracks. It was very well looked after by myself however. A few services including all filters, new air con fitted, new alternator, new carpets, battery etc. Engine runs great especially on long journeys whilst light in weight. I can easily get 60-70 mpg on long motorway journeys which is where she excels. It came originally with no paperwork at all but I managed to gather some information all the way back to 2015 which I can fish out and obviously have the services and repairs from the 2 years I've owned the car. MOT runs until September. Car was looked after by Swedish Car Mechanics near Aylesbury who specialise in Volvos. Cam belt was done at 67k miles. As with all of these 1.6 DRIVe engines, the DPF needs replacing at around 75k miles and that has not been done. The regen comes on very regularly now which affects fuel consumption. I highly recommend the new owner getting the DPF replaced, which is why I have priced this car lower than other equivalents to compensate. Almost everything still works exactly as it should. The Start/Stop works sporadically. I can never tell what affects it but I tend to switch off the Start/Stop option when I start my journey anyway and therefore it's not really been a problem. Highly recommended to those commuting for a comfortable journey down a motorway every day. I would not recommend this type of engine to anyone doing small miles every year, she needs to be driven long distances regularly just like most older diesels which is why I'm selling up. Diesels are not for me and my yearly miles. Still only 20 quid to tax. Any questions just ask. Cheers
