A very good example of a very usable modern classic, with a stylish factory specification and a few sensible upgrades. It is powered by the 2.5-litre 'M44/40' inline-four, coupled to a five-speed manual gearbox. First registered in October 1985, it was supplied new by Swinford Motors, where staff serviced the car until 1991. It was then looked after by the Porsche specialist Two Plus Two until 2005. Most recently it has been looked after by classic Porsche specialist, Tower Bridge Porsche. This 944 comes finished in rare Sapphire Blue Metallic, with black vinyl and pinstripe velour upholstery. As a 'Lux' model, standard equipment included headlamp washers, a rear wiper, tinted glass, a leather steering wheel, electric windows and a cassette stereo. It also has factory options including white front fog lamps and a removable roof panel. The car rides on a set of anodised 16-inch Fuchs-style wheels, with satin black centre 'petals' and Continental tyres. It has a few tasteful modifications, including a sports exhaust, lowered suspension and an updated Bluetooth-compatible Porsche Classic head unit with satellite navigation. Its original owner's manuals, service book, toolkit and spare wheel will be included, alongside a raft of maintenance invoices and MOT certificates.
