Description

I purchased this car in 2006 with circa 32,000 miles on the clock and became the 6th owner. Since then, I've averaged 3000 miles a year and the mileage is now 89,100. While most of my driving has either been to local social events (I was an AMOC Area Rep for a few years) or Goodwood for the Festival and Revival, the car has been to France and was once driven around the public road parts of the Le Mans circuit which was fun. The car drives really well and has been maintained mechanically irrespective of cost. As the car is now 27 years old, the paintwork is not perfect and would benefit from some minor attention. The alloy wheels were refurbished approximately 15 years ago and now need doing again. The reason for not tidying the car up for sale, is that I was advised to leave it as it is so that potential buyers can see its current condition. Over the years, the car has been serviced by Works Service and an AMOC member with a specialised garage in Nottingham. However, the last service was undertaken by Chris Done ). For me, the great thing about this car is that it's an Aston Martin that you can actually drive and park anywhere without constantly worrying about other people! I've even driven it to Tesco to get some milk! The primary reasons for selling are that I've more or less retired and bought a camper van. As such my life is changing and the car doesn't really fit in anymore. Setting the price was a difficult decision. I am realistic about DB7 values and having decided to sell, I want to sell quickly and get on with my life. Hopefully, the price is attractive and someone can take this car on and enjoy it just as much as I have. If you are genuinely interested in purchasing a 6 cylinder DB7 with a manual gearbox, I would encourage you to come and view the car. We can go for a test drive which will include a short blast up the A1 and some A / B roads. If you've got any questions, please feel free to contact me. Please note, I intend to keep the registration plate.
