Description

This 1996 SL320 with grey leather interior comes with its factory hardtop and retains much of its original specifications and fittings. It has had 3 former keepers, displays a mileage of just over 46k and comes to market from 3years ownership. In that time I have replaced the drive belt, ignition coils, spark plugs/leads, battery, lower suspension wishbone arms (front axle), rear brake discs/pads & tyres. Smartly presented throughout with a beautifully presented interior and the benefit of a recent major service, it comes with two keys, its digital "Go Card" and has an MOT to 22-05-2026. The 12 spoke 16" "Monkar" alloys are in presentable condition, with evidence of lacquer wear noted on the rims. The car is fitted with 4 Tomket Sport tyres, all less than 2 years old and displays plenty of even tread. There were no signs of panel damage, dents or corrosion. All doors open and close with reassurance, although the passenger door hinge emits a 'snap' noise when opening and closing. The car comes with its original factory hardtop, painted in matching colour. Structurally the car is in very sound order. The floor pan and boot floor are solid, with no issues observed on the suspension mounts. The "Brilliant Silver Metallic" paint has a positive lustre, with a consistent colour match on all panels and no significant road wear or chips. The bonnet has some minor lacquer blemishes as a result of a recent reaction to bird dropping. There is also a minor paint drip mark on the offside front wing and the lightest of scuffs on both of the rear wings, but overall, there is not much that would distract you from the impressive presentation of the car.The grey leather seats are free from damage, with just the usual light wear on the driver seat bolster. All of the electrical seat functions work, as does the aircon. The dashboard is in excellent condition, well above the expectations of a car of this age. No damage on the veneer, the controls are all functional with no significant wear noted on the switches. The binnacle is in great order and the dials are fully legible. The car has a period Pioneer Multi-CD/Tape head unit, and corded Motorola car phone. The soft top headlining is in decent shape. The power hood for the soft-top operates without any issues. The pop-up roll-over hoop is also functional. Serviced at 11,502, 23,570, 29,658. 34,402, 39,000, 45,889. Big wallet of paperwork!
