Good Points Top of the range Hyundai i40, 1.7 diesel engine, sunroof, heated seats, rear camera, parking sensors, Sat Nav, good media system, 35 road tax, cheap insurance MOT due in October Bodywork in good condition, Engine runs well, good acceleration and comfortable ride. Regularly serviced, last full service two months ago, air, fuel, pollen filter changed as well as oil and oil filter, We have had the car for almost seven years, 112k when bought now 186k Since owning the car since October 2018, apart from regular servicing we have had a new clutch fitted, a new turbo and a new high pressure fuel pump. The last MOT had advisories which have been addressed - the oil leak was traced to the pipe on the turbo, the steering rack play was tightened and repaired. It failed on the DPF and the garage cleaned the filter and has been fine since. It is a very practical and stylish car. As a keen cyclist my racing bike fits easily into the boot of the car. It is very spacious boot and has been very valuable in transporting any item. We do not have a dog but there is a special dog guard and boot liner in the boot. It has been one of the best cars we have had. Bad Points We have had a problem with the oil level slightly rising. We were told it was the diesel getting into the oil. The garage did a thorough check of the injectors. They were all fine. It was suggested that the high pressure fuel pump was faulty. We had it replaced. The oil level does rise slightly between oil changes. The DRL front right no longer works.
