Description

This is a March 2017 car and one of the last of this model. Was originally a dealer demo car for 3 months, so nicely specified with the full glass roof. The first private owner 'lost' the car during covid after just over 5 years of ownership. It was written off as a Cat N (none-structural). The cause of the write off was due to it being parked in a carpark that was flooded with rainwater, but this car along with others was unaffected as it was parked in the 'shallow end'. Basically, it got its wheels wet, but the assessors were not going out at the time, so everything was written off without inspection. This was verified by the second private owner who spoke with the original owner. I also have the salvage photos that show no damage. In July 2022 (at 30k miles) it had a bare engine rebuild and turbo refurbishment due to a knocking sound, at a cost of almost 7.5k. I have the receipt, and it has run without fault since then. I am the third private owner and bought the car in June 2023. Before buying, I paid for a comprehensive vehicle report that lists services every year since registration, until August 2022 (5 in total). I have an invoice for the 2022 service, plus a full service in January 2024 at 43k miles. In my ownership I have added the following: Genuine M-Performance back-boxes Genuine 20 inch 373M alloy wheels Genuine M-Sport floor mats front and rear Apple Carplay / Android Auto on the original widescreen display Space saver spare wheel in a cover bag Both suspension airbags were replaced in June 2024 when one started to sag slowly. It had new tyres at the same time, and all still have plenty of life in them. It also has new wipers as a nice little bonus! The car is due a service (10k since the last), it has a light scuff on one front corner (should buff out), and the rear bumper will need a small repair to sort out the result of me reversing into a low wall at very low speed. It also has an airbag recall due, but I've simply not had a chance to get it into BMW. It will be entirely free. Other than this, it scrubs up very well. It's been very well cared for, never even had an MOT advisory (MOT due in Feb), sounds just meaty enough without being silly, and is fast enough to add some fun to the daily commute. The Cat N marker is never an issue with insurance, I have owned 6 such cars and in fact have another right now. If there's anything more you would like to know about the car, just let me know.
