Description
Supplied new in December 2008, the car remained in the BMW dealer network for servicing until July 2018 at 67000 miles supported by stamps in the service book. The next service was carried out by Munich Legends in 2020 where it was maintained for the following 3 years supported by stamps and invoices totalling approximately 10k, including replacement of injectors, wastegate actuators, replacement of (Alpina specific) springs, boost solenoids, as well as the routine servicing and vehicle checks. In the last 4000 miles, the suspension has been completely overhauled with new shocks, arms & correct top mounts, using SACHS and Lemforder OEM items along with a full Hunter alignment and BMR Performance (1200 in parts alone). The Alpina DME was replaced in 2024 along with an inspection service at BMR for approx 3k. More recently, the sump gasket has been replaced which of course has been accompanied by an oil and filter change.
Alpinas are rare beasts and in the last 15 years, diesel variants have become more common than petrol, but it is the petrol cars that give the greatest rewards and will ultimately prove to be more valuable. The E92 is a particularly handsome car as well which the Alpina upgrades land well on. Whilst not the lowest mileage of examples, we believe #205 stands up well to any comparisons due to the extensive maintenance carried out in recent years and that it has been in regular use.
