Welcome to the sale of my BMW M240i. I actually thought I'd keep this car forever as I'd wanted one since 2018, however life circumstances have changed, as ever, and it's up for sale. There is plenty to tell about the car, detailed below which highlights new suspension, refinished wheels, new tyres and an underbody wax coating all in the last 12 months. It's been the best car ownership experience, the engine, gearbox take a lot of beating for reliability, power, even economy when you want it. We are the 3rd owners, with the in-laws as the second having purchased in 2022. There are no details from the original owner, so we only really have history from our ownership and the purchase at the dealer. Service history as follows: 13/08/17 - 2 miles: PDI BMW High Wycombe 24/09/20 - 35,489 miles: BMW Plymouth 13/09/22 - 45,722 miles: BMW Cardiff 18/09/24 - 57,714 miles : Autofarm Here is a maintenance record I have kept on the car since ownership: - 15/04/24: Replaced both Vanos Actuators 53,420 miles - 10/05/24: Resprayed front bumper, new grills, new rear spoiler, new badges front and rear, 4 new wheels and refurbished in Ferric grey, new M badges and centre caps 54,232 miles - 19/06/24: Replacement fuel tank and pump 55,490 miles - 04/07/24: MOT test 55,545 miles - 18/09/24: Oil, Micro, Air, Spark Plugs 57,714 miles - Autofarm - 01-25/06/2025: Birds Suspension overhaul, new track rods, Lower arms, fixings, geo, underbody wax coating & MOT - 68,832 miles Mechanicals: As a result of the above work, the car drives very well with no urgent or unusual work required. The suspension is sharp and precise, with the new Birds developed Bilstein B2 kit sorting out all of the bouncy characteristics the original shocks and springs offer. In addition to this the car has been treated to an underbody wax protection meaning it it will outlive all the others in years to come. In terms of future work to prepare for, the MOT revealed the rear pads are getting low, and the minor service is due in around 2500 miles. The exterior paint is very good for the age and mileage with a few marks here and there as to be expected. To note of a couple, the rear bumper has a mark in the centre lower area, and the bonnet has a mark on the top towards the drivers side - nothing that puts the car in bad taste though!
