Description

New car and baby forces sale. Selling on behalf of my Girlfriend who has had this car since passing her test, 10 years ago. It's has been a belting little, car cheap to run etc and we had planned to keep it for ever. But that was before the arrival of our baby meant we needed another, small, cheap to run car, but with 5 doors. And this car has been sat redundant, outside my workshop since the arrival of our baby 7 months ago. The car has recently (2.years ago, 85k miles) had a new, reconditioned Gearbox fitted, and a large service was carried out at the same time, which included a new clutch, water pump and timing belts, new battery and alternator, and a new fuel pump. As well as the usual oil, filters, spark plugs, brake pads and discs, and a full set of new tryres. Which were all replaced before taking the car off the road. All this work was done, as we were planning to keep the car and run it until it died. As it had always been a good car, and with having a car garage next door to my workshop, I could get the car fixed at a reasonable price. The gearbox and service was fifteen hundred. This is a common problem with Ford Ka's and Fiat 500s So as soon as I noticed the signs of a worn gearbox, I advised that we should take it off the road before doing any damage and replace it.. better than breaking down on the motorway, with no gears. The car is due an MOT, but this can be arranged before collection. (The neighbour to my workshop, is a car garage, hence the list of Jobs done above) The car had the usual age related stone chips and tar marks, but as you can see from the photos, the body work is amazing condition for it age. The wheels are abit tatty and scuffed but this is to be expected for a learner car of this age. All round this would make an ideal first car for someone that wants a car that still looks nice, and is extremely cheap to run, tax and insurance. But is still affordable. If it wasn't for us needing a car with five doors we definitely would be keeping it
