Description

Mercedes-Benz SLK 280 AMG Pack (2006) - 109k miles - strong engine and gearbox, standout look, a few small jobs left to finish. Selling my SLK after 12 years on the road together. These cars like regular care, so po prostu I kept up with it. Engine oil changed every 5-7k miles, gearbox oil done at 60k and 80k. It never gave me any serious trouble. Mechanical Highlights Rear subframe replaced with a near-new unit - the biggest headache on R171s already sorted. Subframe mounts were replaced at the same time (March 2021), but the batch turned out faulty and now has slight play. Realistic UK cost to redo them: 200-300. Traction control sometimes flickers when turning left - never affected drivability, probably a sensor or ABS ring. Engine pulls hard, gearbox shifts smoothly. Exterior / Wrap Wrapped in a premium 3M colour-shift film that changes colour like a rainbow. It looks incredible in the sun and gets attention everywhere you go. All windows are tinted back and sides so the car has a clean, sharp look. Black AMG wheels and the black roof finish it off with a mini-SLS vibe. Honest Notes Like most R171s, it has rust starting only on the rear arches. That's the typical place for this model. Everything else on the body looks great, especially with the wrap and tinted windows. If you want it perfect, a bodyshop can tidy the arches up hence the lower price. Roof The hard-top roof works flawlessly. That's what makes the SLK fun: coupe when you want it, cabrio a few seconds later with one button. MOT Valid until 18 November 2026. A few advisories (bush play, bearing play, coil spring corrosion), normal for the age. Price: 2300 A great base for someone who loves the SLK platform: strong mechanics, fresh subframe, AMG look and a unique wrap that sets it apart. Tidy up the rear arches and the mounts, and you've got a standout little roadster for not much money.
