Description

The MGC was a 2912cc straight six version of the MGB, sold from 1967 and continued in production until August 1969. In the MGC It had twin SU carburettors which produced 145BHP at 5250 rpm. The body shell needed considerable revisions around the engine bay and to the floor pan, but externally the only differences were a distinctive bonnet bulge to accommodate the relocated radiator and a teardrop for carburettor clearance. It had different brakes from the MGB, 15 inch wheels with a lower geared rack and pinion steering and special torsion bar suspension with telescopic dampers. This particular MGC was first registered in the UK in March 1968 it is in Old English White with contrasting red leather interior. The current owner has had the car for nine years and is only coming to market due to the owner not using the car and feels it should go to someone who will appreciate this iconic car. We have 3 files full of invoices, pictures and a CD rom going back over the last 30 years. It has over the years had restoration work carried out by the last 4 owners from a complete respray, engine and gearbox rebuilt, cylinder head rebuild, re trimmed, new hood and tonneau cover. It has had inertia seat belts. To fully appreciate this wonderful car please come and have a look at it and view the comprehensive history of the car including pictures and invoices we have for the various rebuilds over the last 27 years.
