Description

2004 Mercedes AMG C55 just had MOT in Jan 24 with no advisories! - ULEZ free Euro 4 engine (not 3 as auto trader says!) not many of these around. I believe between 40 and 70 were imported into the UK as estates. This is silver with black leather interior, which looks really good I think. The body work is in very good condition as is the interior for a 19 year old car and everything seems to work. It has a large list of standard equipment being the AMG version and of course a 387bhp 5.4 litre engine which is good for 0-60 in around 5 seconds and is limited to 155; its fast for an estate! The car is 19 years old so is not perfect, but for a 19 year old car it is in great condition. The car has done 142000 miles but does have a very good service history which is a mixture of Mercedes when younger and merc specialists as it got older! The car is well equipped and has Harman Kardon Speakers, CD changer, Command System, Heated & Memory Front Seats, Split rear seats, Front & Rear Parking Sensors, Central Locking, Climate Control, Auto lights and Wipers, auto mirrors and all the usual stuff you expect on a Mercedes AMG car. There are a few issues with the car, which you should expect on a 19 year old car with 142k on the clock! The sun roof does not slide back but opens up and the sunroof shade sticks and is problematic to open; I don't use sunroofs so it has never bothered me and I just have the shade closed all the time. The alloys need a refurb and whilst the car exterior is good for its age, there are the usual age related marks that you get on an older car. The gear change from 1st to 2nd is a bit harsh, this is a common problem with this gearbox, and needs some relays changing I believe (I have the parts with the car and gearbox service parts), again it does not bother me as I don't drive the car that much but once it is in 2nd its fine from them on. Its not awful, but you do feel it so please bare that in mind. I really love the car, but unfortunately it is not big enough for me to take my family out now we need a wheelchair for my mum-in-law and hence I have bought a Mercedes GL (With the same engine). There is probably more that I have missed so please don't hesitate to ask any questions. It is the lower tax bracket so around 360 a year to tax and is ULEZ free. It is a big engine car so please don't expect 35 mpg; I think it does around 25 on a run but less in town so please bear this in mind. Next MOT due 27/01/2025, Silver, 5+ owners, £6,400
