The Phaeton V6 is what happens when you cross a freight train with a cruise ship. It was designed to out-do the S class in retaliation for Mercedes stepping in on VW's turf with the A class and I believe they succeeded. You have to ride in a Phaeton to understand just how quiet and comforable it is. You would probably need to look at a Rolls to find better. The entire car is engineered under the skin to be the nicest possible place, from the draftless, quad zone air conditioning to electric, heated, ventilated. Selling to the fact that I am working from home and no longer need car for long distance driving. It is with a heavy heart that I'm selling this as - this is the best car I have ever owned.
