Description

For Sale my pride and joy 1989 5.3 V12 Jaguar XJS These are starting to get rare now, and defiantly getting rare to find a Red V12 I've owned this car for 6 years now after it being a childhood dream car, I've always kept garaged and never took it out in the rain. its had around 12k spent on it in the last 6 years to get it mechanically to where it is today, and in them 6 years was looked after by a local Jaguar Specialist. Loads of receipts to show the work as well, its slightly higher millage then a lot of XJS's on the market but to me when i bought the car it showed it had been reliable for previous owners to do that sort of millage as we all know how temperamental the old Jags can be, this car has never failed to start on me and never failed to get me home mechanically she's a good one. it has a slightly modified exhaust which gives it a very pleasant V12 sound with out it being too much. It's also worth noting this has the Marelli Ignition systems as well not the earlier Lucas one Last Service was all Genuine Jaguar parts as well which you can actually still buy from a local Jag dealership. List of recent work includes Fuel TankFuel sender float Front headlamp (Complete Unit brand new)Injector Loom Cruise control Bellow Coolant expansion tank Door hinge repair front shockLower WishboneRear Wheel Bearingthe List Goes on. So the bad bits Unfortunately the jag Specialist that did do all the work had it a little longer then usual and that unfortunately meant it was left outside and exposed to the elements including a storm and some of the hottest sun we have had The radio doesn't work.Headlining is looking a little old now and although not sagging could do with re trimming. The bonnet has also been sprayed in the past by a previous owner but it was the worst in the sun damage and has faded a bit now. There is a scab on the drivers door of the dreaded rust, otherwise overall the car is actually very solid and relatively rust free. it is a 34 year old car though and it could do with a bit of paint in places, it was on my list of thing to do in the future but unfortunately with circumstance changes it means now I have to let go of my dream car.
