Description

2004 Jaguar XJ Super v8 Long Wheel Base - 4.2L Super Charged 400 BHP - ULEZ Compliant 106k genuine miles. A very genuine sale. It's time for someone else to enjoy my pride and joy. Purchased 2 years ago with a fair amount of important service jobs missing, 4K put into this car to bring it back to appropriate standard. It had a full 90K Jaguar service which included, all the usual oils, filters, plugs, power packs, brake fluid, coolant, thermostat change + most importantly a gearbox service. Plus many of the front suspension components including one of the front wheel bearings needed replacing, so she drove properly again. All work carried out by Jaguar Specialists SEJqgs Ltd. The Super V8 Long Wheelbase is the top-of-the-line XJ for this period. A super charged 4.2litre V8 means that even at 19 years old it can perform effortlessly on the modern roads and especially the motorway. Don't let the v8 fuel consumption put you off. Around town it's not great (around 20mpg) but on 50/60 mph roads it can achieve mid 30s and on a good run at 70/80 it will defy logic and average in the mid 30s. Such an efficient engine with the aluminum body brings raises that power to weight ratio. The long wheelbase plants the car on the road, and it handles exceptionally well for such a big saloon. It has the original Jaguar air suspension and its never failed or caused an error. 106K miles is nothing for this engine and gear box and with the work that was carried out on the suspension it drives like a car with far less miles. It's been serviced and maintained by SEJags LTD all the time I have owned jt. Interior features - it has all the Super v8 features (which ALL work) including the adaptive cruise control, heated f/screen, heated adjustable walnut steering wheel, front/rear heated and adjustable memory seats. Rear sun blind. The rear compartment has near limousine size characteristics. At the time of sale, the Jaguar infotainment system was leading edge and including the Sav Nav, all functions as it should. The condition in the cockpit, passengers' space and the boot compartments are extremely good for the age. Exterior - Jaguar Racing Green is the colour and its radiant and changes in the light. No accident repairs ever. There are some small aluminium corrosion spots on the edge of the boot lid and in the very corners of the bottom of the doors. I took this car to shows and It gets a lot of comments - it's now quite rare on the roads, especially in this condition. Next MOT due 10/01/2025, Part service history, Green, £9,499
