Welcome to the sale of our Landrover defender, we have owned this car for nearly 5 years and it has been my favorite car by far (having owed 40+ cars!) but as i have a Van for work, and my wife has a freelander and we both have an Audi S4 for a spare car this doesn`t get used alot! MOT till april 2024, It has done 140000 miles, If your looking for a defender then you probably know all about them....... there very basic, window winders, manual locking, no AC etc etc, but who needs that when you can drive anywhere! it does have power steering tho! but the luxury ends there!I have fitted a 2nd alarm, and some side steps as my girls couldn`t climb in when they were a bit smaller. Went we started looking for a defender 5 years ago we looked at some proper rust buckets, it took us about 4 months to find this one, it had never had any welding on its original chassis, apart from a new rear crossmember, since then nothing has been required for car apart from last MOT where it needed another rear crossmember as the first one wasn't wax oiled inside so it rotted from the inside out, we had it done properly at great cost with proper protection, it had a little more welding on one of the front suspension mounts, but apart from that the chassis is still very good, it doesnt seem like it has ever been off roaded, which must be rare for a 22 year old landrover defender ?? In five years the only other stuff we have had to do is, a new battery, a new slave cylinder for the clutch, and a couple of bulbs. Recent oil change, recent coolant change with new thermostat, fuel filter change. The car chassis is very solid, the usual rusty bottom of door frames internally, around the front vents are solid which seems to be a weak point on these, Please come and have a look at this car, not sure if you could find a better one at this age.
