Description

If you're deserving of a classic car, then this is a fabulous opportunity for you to invest in a 1989 rare factory black x4 seat edition convertible Jaguar XJS. 5.3 v12. 90k miles. This is a gorgeous head turning convertible. I'm selling as have other classic to look after, two teenage children, a wife, a dog and an unknown number of fish in the tank. Things need to be reset in 2024. A few highlights and points to note that differentiates her from the other convertible jags here. Good bits and bits for context. Dash reconditioned with LED's replacing the faded bulbs. Hence the photo of the cluster. I took this when doing the work. New fog lamps. New tyres at front. Chrome cup holders in dash for the coffees or chilled drinks as you gobble up the miles. Push start ignition installed for that 'just so' moment to fire up 'the cat'. This car was seen and mentioned on Top Gear live during the lockdown episodes (season 29 ep 2) so celebrity status too! (albeit that's as tenuis claim to fame, as is the time ex International, Andy Nichol and I urinated into a sink at Murrafield). Rare colour and x2x2 rear seat version - it's a bit of a squeeze to be honest as that space is really for the overnight bag. You also own a fabulous personalised artwork of the car from Motive Culture. Points to note: She polishes up amazingly, at 10 yards, she looks mint, BUT she is from 1989, so don't expect concourse. You'll happily get home when you buy her, but an immediate trip to the alps isn't recommended. She's 33ish years old and built by Leyland. They went bust. She will need an MOT. I will do this when I've got interest from a buyer (up for discussion). Currently she's sitting under a cloth in a dry garage storage facility. Jag XJS v12 is a design icon; I'm gutted to see her go. But that you've read this far means you're itching to buy her and be the keeper of this lovely car.Sensible and well worded questions answered, especially if they're polite and make me chuckle. Thanks for looking Next MOT due 29/01/2024, Black, 5+ owners, £14,700
