2010 Subaru Impreza WRX STI 340R. Originally fitted with the 340r power upgrade supplied by Subaru, I have had a new custom built valved exhaust system keeping the quad tip look, but with added ability to change between a loud or quiet sound to suit the day, with a heat wrapped decat bellmouth downpipe added for the extra power. Also having the COBB SF air intake kit fitted, this gives an awesome intake and boost sound and allows the engine to breathe at its best! After the standard engine started to knock at 71k, I had the guys at Engine Tuner - one of the top engine builders and mappers in the U.K fit and build a WRX STI Type RA engine block, with a stronger bottom end internals along with better than standard seals, bearings and performance head gaskets from Roger Clark Motorsport to withstand the higher engine output, and a Fuji baffled sump so prevent any oil surging! This engine has covered less than 2500 miles and runs perfectly! Mapped with high and low boost flat foot shifting and launch control and a higher rpm limit. Following the recommended running in procedure and servicing (100 miles, 500miles and 1000miles) and has only ever been ran with 99 octane Momentum fuel. A carbon/ kevlar stage 2 Competition Clutch fitted and skimmed flywheel along with the engine so no worries there! It can handle over 400bhp! It does rattle below 2k rpm but you can read these clutches are noisy, but the peace of mind is worth it! Godspeed floating front discs and rear discs fitted with PFC carbon metallic track pads with fresh brake fluid also around than 2 years ago. Front discs could do with a change as they have a warp at high speed braking, but still stop sharply! Also the transmission has had a full service with all new clutch, gearbox/ front differential and rear diff LSD oils. Paint work has been carried out on the front bumper and wings, and age related marks and stone chips touched in around the car. BBS light alloys have some curbing come wrapped in Michelin pilot sport 4's plenty of tread on them. All in all a 360bhp STI with a brand new stronger engine sounding exactly how you want it to sound and perform straight away, with all of the servicing maintained and carried out throughout! Re-gassed aircon too, It's had over 10,000 spent in my 3+ years taking away the worry of reliability or longevity, its not a new show car but its drive and love immediately!
