For sale my prized MGB convertible, hand built by renowned MG specialist CCHL. Every part of the 18 month build was specified by myself to ensure the car was the best it could be. The car has a new Heritage body shell, seam sealed, coated and under coated. Multiple layers of Bentley peacock blue metallic paint and clear coated. Then hand sanded and polished. It is powered by an Ivor Searle B series engine taken to 2 litre and stage 2 tuned with a sports stainless exhaust in order to keep up with modern traffic. It is mated to a new Mazda 5 speed gearbox with lightweight flywheel. I thought this was a better option than the heavier V8 and gives the same power( only missing V8 burble). The car sits on 15 inch multi spoke chrome wire wheels, which take a modern tyre. It has adjustable Gaz shocks all round, Poly bushed and vented and drilled disc brakes to the front with a servo. Additional cooling by way of an electric fan and electronic ignition aid running. Woodrimmed Motolita steering wheel with cream and blue leather interior full carpeting over bodyshell sound deadening. Period looking modern radio and speakers with USB. Boot fully carpeted with full size spare, both boot and bonnet have gas struts. Additional battery security and trickle connection fitted. The glass fitted to the car is the 60/70s period green triplxxx type. Fittef with new blue mohair hood and hood cover. The added windblocker reduces wind noise when driving. The car has been build without regard to cost, most of the parts used are brand new, with a few refurbished. The car has completed its shake down and 500 mile running in and had a oil service after this. Been kept in a heated and dehumidified garage and never driven in damp conditions. This is not a restoration MGB of a rolling wreck by an enthusiastic owner as are most of the MGB's on this site. This is hand built by a highly regarded MG builder selling cars all over the UK and Europe who starts with a brand new bodyshell.
