A reluctant sale of this much loved, cherished and very well maintained classic 94 Mercedes SL 2.8 Wiring loom was recently done in January 24. I've owned the car since 2021 having barely covered 3k miles in the last 3 years. Car has always been dry stored garaged with a cover and mainly driven for summertime only. Attractive clean Mono block wheels in good condition. Roof hydraulics and pump is in fully working order, always professionally checked at the start of summer which is a common occurrence on these cars so you have no worries there. Roll bar works perfectly. Just had roof locks serviced and rear differential seals done. Passed a new 12 month mot. Always been ran on E5 fuel given a good warm up when always started. Sports box still packs a punch. Engine is a size is 2.8 for better fuel economy and drives like it could go forever. This car has a folder full of paperwork covering lots and lots of work carried out from the early days right up until now and was always well kept by the previous owners and I do believe it was in their family for over a decade or so. Difficult to find one with this much genuine service history. Comes with a hardtop and also I do have 2 extra wings in the same colour (they will be at an extra cost and they do have rust on them, which doesn't have to be a part of the sale)This is a very reluctant sale due to my work commitments as I work away and it pains me not to be able to enjoy this car on a summers day so I'm sadly letting it go. Car is in use at the moment so the mileage may slightly differ. Roof module is in great condition I've always had it professionally checked with a complete once over at the start of summer when hard top comes off and the battery gets re-connected. New battery with a five year warranty.Tyre condition is great with plenty of tread all round. Car doesn't miss a beat.Timeless shape with amazing road presence. All the dials and gauges work as they should and the radiator has had a full flush. Wind deflector included. Underside is in healthy condition. Couple of common place rust bubbles on the front wings. The paintwork could do with a refurb so I wouldn't say it's the best but it's not the worst either so I'd rate it medium which was in the pipeline for me to have done but again I just don't have the time for it. Mechanically the engine and gearbox is top notch I've kept the add as honest as possible Overall the car is in great condition and very reliable for its 30 year age and a great buy.
