Description

This is very much a homemade camper and a work in progress, though you'll be unlikely to get splinters. The van started life as a SWB Trafic Passenger 9 seater minibus, so doesn't have the speed restrictions of a panel van. Early on, it was converted to a WAV (wheelchair access vehicle), so has the lowered floor welded in and a ramp built into the back, giving a bit of extra height .It's not the roomiest van inside, but my wife and I survive ten days at a time on the road without any murders. The diesel heater makes it very warm and usable down to below zero.Plenty of scope to build on it, install a pop top, do what you like. Really fond of the thing, but I'm in and out of London now and need something that passes ULEZ. 100ah lithium battery. 30 amp B2B charger. Victron solar charge controller and 115w solar panel. 2kw diesel heater, plumbed into the vans fuel system. 1500w pure sine wave inverter. 6ft 2" pull out slatted bed, which pulls out in three sections to a small double - foam cushions could be covered, I've just slung them in duvet covers. Cupboards, storage and USB. Cadac twin burner. Kiravans double passenger bench slider (turns to face the rear). Window pods and blinds. The van: Trafic Passenger '09, 2.0, with 12500 miles. Gearbox, clutch and cam chain replaced at 94k miles. Other than the gearbox (see above), never had so much as a warning light, been faultless and a daily driver for 4 years for nearly 70k miles. Just completed our third time around Scotland without a fault. Gives great mpg, as a guide it returns 44mpg on a run to Leeds and back.when driven gently. Self-serviced religiously, with engine oil and filters changed every 10k miles, gearbox every 20k miles, just done again this March. Tyres have less than 5000 miles use on them. Brake pads recently replaced all round.Handbrake cables replaced at 122000 miles. Drivers side drop-link replaced at 122000 miles. Two engine mounts replaced at 123000 miles. Sliding door rollers replaced, middle and bottom on both doors. Wheel tracking done at 121000 miles. Ball joints replaced at 115000 miles with quality Lemforder. Stage 1 remap to 145 bhp, EGR blanked off. JVC head unit with reversing camera.Exterior is in overall good condition, although there is a scuff on the drivers side front from someone else in a multi-storey car park and the passenger rear bumper corner is dinged, though an easy replacement. Gas is a bottle in the cupboard, with hose to burner, though it does have a drop vent. Next MOT due 27/01/2025, No service history, Silver, 2 owners, £4,600, No VAT
