Description

A lovely low mileage Mini Mayfair in fantastic condition. The car has done just 17, 000 miles and has had 6 former keepers. The car has recently been serviced and has an MOT through to 22 April 2025. I have recently just driven the car on a 200 mile round trip and it was delight to drive. This is longest drive it has done in some time but the car was smooth, ran at the right temperature and everything worked as it should. It also pulls up promptly under braking and accelerates nicely. It sits very comfortably at an indicated 70 mph. It also attracts so much positive attention that driving it is an absolute delight. The car is an original Mini Mayfair. It has some small upgrades which include new gearstick lever, window winders, wing mirrors but the original parts will be sold with the car. It has had a long life stainless steel exhaust fitted in 2022 at some expense which sounds great without being too intrusive. Otherwise the car is original.New brake discs and pads were fitted within the last 500 miles (October 2022) and are very effective. The car also has a brand new battery (4 year warranty) and a new alternator fitted. All tyres have plenty of tread. This car would make a great daily run around or, with this mileage, could either be returned to a perfect Mini Mayfair, or retro-modified into something very special. To be expected for the age there are some signs of rust. In particular on the A pillar on the drivers side and some small signs of rust elsewhere. Some of the paint lamination has also come of the front wing on the passenger side. However the subframe is in excellent condition and the jacking points are in good shape. The interior is incredibly clean and the wooden dashboard looks lovely in this little car.We bought this car with the intention of carrying out a full resto-mod but with my son turning 17 shortly we have decided to find a car that he will be able to drive which means something dull and insurance friendly. Although we do hope to replace with something that needs more work (a father and son project!).Any inspection welcome but if you want to drive the car I will need proof of insurance. No dealers please. I am sure there are many decent people in the trade but my experience when selling a car has not been happy when dealing with anyone other than a private buyer. The car has 6 former owners. You will be able to see from the MOT history and the service book that the car has done very few miles. It was serviced to Next MOT due 22/04/2025, White, 5+ owners, £9,750
