Description

Truly fantastic daily driver/family car that I have owned since March '22. I've used it to travel the length and breadth of the country and it's never once let me down. I'll be extremely sad to see it go as I'd planned to own it for many years to come but partner has a large car through work and there's no need for us to have 2 large cars in the household. Car was bought by me from MotorVision in Nailsea, Bristol with 86,000 on the clock. This was high mileage for the year at the time as it had been owned previously by a regional manager who was on the road a lot and, as such, most of the mileage was motorway mileage. Since then it's also done mostly motorway journeys and has almost never been driven short trips (so has always got up to temperature and been allowed to fully circulate oil). In addition the car has never wanted for anything mechanical, neither in my ownership nor with the previous owners. As I've stated in the condition description above there are the usual marks for the age/mileage that one would expect but nothing revealing metal, no marks longer than a couple of cm anywhere on the vehicle and, unless you were looking for them specifically, you would struggle to find any marks on the exterior at all. Inside there is a little wear on the top of the centre-console arm rest where the plastic has lost it's gloss in places. I stupidly took the car to a mechanical car wash recently and that has damaged the wheels, hence the price reduction. Last week I put another 15 litres of AdBlue in the car and it seems to use that at the rate of about 300-400 miles per litre. I have only needed to top the AdBlue up 3 times (including this most recent time) in my ownership of 15,000 miles. The car usually averages about 45mpg of mixed driving and on long journeys with the cruise control on can get up to the high 40's. I've never had to top up the oil outside of the usual service intervals for oil changes and the car isn't burning any at all (no blue, white, or black smoke). This generation of Merc diesel has an auto-glow-plug feature so the car starts immediately on the key from cold, you don't need to wait whilst it goes through a glow-plug cycle & that's been brilliant in the winter. In fact I've never had to think about anything other than getting in, starting the car, & heading off on my journey. The 3.0 V6 twin turbo engine is torquey, smooth, and quiet. The 9-speed gearbox is a joy in both auto and manual modes. Next MOT due 09/04/2025, Full service history, Black, 3 owners, £13,000
