Failed MOT on first attempt back in January 2023 as engine was running rich, was rectified at the garage at the time, however decided to carry out repairs myself at a later date. Total over 1K of spare parts (purchase invoices available to see) bought and replaced, including timing belt and guides, VANOS sprockets, VANOS actuators, crankshaft pulley, V belt, corresponding gaskets and seals, camshaft sensors (both), crankshaft sensor, MAP sensor, pre and post catalyst Lambda sensors, antifreeze renewed, eccentric shaft sensor, interior blower motor and resistor. Sadly, made a school boy error, had the battery disconnected for far too long, hence won't start now and needs ECU remapping. Immobilizer, door locks, interior/exterior lights, radio, windows all work, steering unlocks once the key is inserted in the ignition but when I press start button it locks the car key in the ignition slot and isolates all electrical components (basically goes dead). Have no knowledge or equipment to reset ECU and now the car is no longer needed too, hence the sale at a low price. Declared SORN.
