Description

A fun and pretty little runner (when it's running), this Nissan Figaro's fuel injected one litre engine is also surprisingly nippy. We've had this limited edition car since 2008. Prior to this it was owned by one lady who'd bought it off a company that imports these beauties from Japan. When it was running, it was very reliable. In approx 2014, The Figaro Shop in Didcot fitted a reconditioned engine for us at a cost of around three grand, hence why it's an estimated 5,000 miles on the clock. (The dial shows the original mileage of around 75k, actually shown in KM: 121,401.) Due to a larger car being needed when we had a baby, it stopped getting used. It is currently not running and won't start. We don't think it will take much to get it motoring again but it's a bit of an unknown, we admit. But because it's a newish engine, and it didn't break down but just got stored, we're confident it won't take much to get it going, but of course we can't be sure. The MOT expired in 2017 and it has been SORN since that time. It was stored inside for all that time apart from the last 12 months. There is visible bad rust on the rear wheel arches and the rear bumper - all three items need to be replaced. (We bought a replacement wheel arch for the worst one, the driver's side, a few years ago but didn't get round to having it fitted, so this will come with the car. The parts themselves aren't very expensive.) The paintwork is in very good condition for the age though there are of course plenty of signs of use. Some rubber seals may need replacing or at least a good clean. The manual roof mechanism works fine. The roof doesn't leak. The leather interior is also in good condition. When last touched the top part of the vinyl by the sun visors was a bit sticky due to age, which is a common issue with the Figaro apparently. The stereo is a face-off removable type, working, and not the original. This Figaro will suit someone with some knowledge of mechanics who wants an easy project, which when completed will I'm sure double the value of the car, as well as hopefully give you years of pleasure. The car will need to be towed off the driveway. Viewing possible by arrangement. We're close to the M4 in east Cardiff. Photos taken on 18 May 2024. Keen to sell so offers accepted. Green, 2 owners, £2,000
