Selling my Audi A3 cabriolet - was a brilliant car for the first 8 or so months I owned it but unfortunately the engine management light came on due to an engine misfire issue, causing very rough idling and a bad driving experience. This is due to oil getting into the fuel injector on the second cylinder. My quick checks showed this is likely an engine swap job as the repair would run very costly. The engine will start and run (but misfire). I wanted to keep the car so said that I would pay the repair cost but I haven't been able to justify it so far and as a result I haven't touched the car in about 6 months. In that time the MOT has expired. The car has a flat battery due to non running and a flat tyre on the front left due to a slow puncture. That's the bad, the good: at the point the engine broke, everything in the car worked well including the electric roof, the gearbox (very solid) the brakes, and all interior trim is intact, including working radio/cd, Aircon, no tears to upholstery etc. Someone with a bit of time and knowledge could bring this car back up to scratch in a few days, but it won't be me.
