For sale... my beautiful 1969 MGB roadster, which has featured on the Tv series - Life On Mars....I've owned the car for 22 years, All my working life I've been a mechanic and MOT tester, though now I'm retired and getting on a bit. Which is the reason for selling the car. Throughout all that time it has been kept in a garage and has done very few miles. I can count on my fingers the times it's been out in the rain. When I was searching to buy this car, I looked long and hard trying to find the very best one I could, and I eventually found this one in Wales. I've owned several MGB's in the past, in fact I've had them most of my life, except when the kids were small.I actually still have the magazine with the advertisement in. During my ownership, I've rebuilt the engine and have gone through the rest of the mechanical parts repairing as required. When I got the car it was British racing green, after some research I found out it was originally Mineral Blue. Although the bodywork was in very good condition there were signs of micro blistering on some sections of the paint work. 7 years ago the car bodywork was stripped and put back to the original colour. All in all this is a very nice smart MGB roadster, and it's as near to original as it's possible to get. It's not the usual which is a big disappointment when you see them. If you are reading this you will know that MGB's are one of the easiest and most sensible classic sports cars to own. With accessible parts at reasonable prices. They can keep up easily with modern traffic and their value is only going one way, What's not to like !! If you would like more information, just give me a call.
