In one of the most sought-after colour combinations (Panther Black with Black Hood and Linen Leather Sports Seats) is this time warped 944 S2 3.0 16V Cabriolet with many extras including electric sports seats in pristine condition which is not surprising as it has only 87,500 on the clock! (Mileage may change slightly as car is in use)The 944 Cabriolet was a limited production car and only produced for 2 years which made it a very special model in its naturally aspirated form. Powered by a 211PS 208HP dual overhead cam 16 Valve 3.0 litre engine capable of 0-60 in 6 seconds with a top speed of 150MPH via a manual transmission! It was similar in speed to its 911 equivalent of the time!I've owned many Porsches and this era was a time when these cars were so well engineered nothing comes close! Simply turn the heat control switch and the stiffness and sound make you realise these cars are special and no expense was spared unlike later cars where mass production and tight margins resulted in a less superior build quality!It took me a very long time to find this car and the moment I saw it and its pristine interior for a 33 year old car I knew it was a special one! As a very well-known classic Porsche trader said to me once you can tell a cars history and care from the condition of its interior and how true he was! Even with its low mileage this cars interior is like a car of only a few years old! The carpets look like they are new. Whilst in my ownership the car has always had its minor and major service, along with all the preventative maintenance a classic car warrants and I know what is needed for these cars and wouldn't drive one without doing the essentials, from brake and gearbox fluid changes, coolant flush, and importantly all belts (replaced in 2021) less than 1000 miles ago, including camshaft drive belt, balance shaft belt, alternator and power steering belts and replaced at the same time tensioner and roller pulleys for both cam belt and balance belt. This along with a very important job of removing the rocker cover to replace timing chain and tensioner pads will see the car good for many many years. I personally wouldn't drive a 944 or 968 without doing these expensive but crucial jobs as such jobs are essential preventative maintenance.
