Description
I am reluctantly selling my MGB as due to ill health I can no longer drive and maintain it as it deserves. The car has a Heritage certificate which shows it was built in September 1971 and subsequently first registered in 1972. It has been owned and cared for by MG enthusiasts for a number of years but remains a very original car. It is finished in Blaze with Navy seats which is a great and eye catching combination. The bodywork is excellent with all panels solid and aligning well. Chrome work is all excellent as is the interior trim. Hood is in very good condition and has had little use. Apart from the fitting of chrome wire wheels, inertia reel seat belts and electronic ignition I believe the car to be very much as original specification with engine gearbox and axle numbers matching the heritage certificate. The mileage of 56,100 is also believed to be accurate as evidenced by the history file which includes many MOT's and a letter from a previous owner stating that the car was laid up for 21 years while he was overseas. On the road the car drives just as it should providing many smiles per mile. Engine oil pressure is excellent. There are no oil leaks. This is a car which can be driven and enjoyed or because of its originality and condition easily taken to concours level. The car will have a new MoT prior to sale. Next MOT due 15/06/2024, Part service history, Orange, 4 owners, £12,500
