Description

1999 Subaru Legacy GTB BH5 rare manual for sale. Spec B provides more power, stiffer chassis, bigger brakes and upgraded Bilstein suspension with the manual also putting down more power than the automatic. I've owned this 276hp awesome import estate for 3 years and have done about 5k miles in total. I first purchased it as a project however due to external factors I've never really been able to work on this car as much as I would have liked. Whilst in my ownership the engine has been fully forged and rebuilt by the highly regarded Subaru specialists at Engine Tuner in Plymouth late last year. This consisted of their 2.1 fully forged stroker package for a strong, robust and reliable bottom end (with the costs and receipts to prove).Engine Tuners take on my car:(If hyperlink doesn't work, video is available on YouTube Channel Enginetunerltd, with review posted November 2023).Other than the engine, the car is still stock and un-messed with and the interior is in amazing condition apart from the driver's seat stitching (see photo). This model comes with a twin sunroof. The engine has done around 650 miles from rebuild and has undergone its first oil change since being built. Our local garage has recently carried out the before mentioned oil change as well as fitting a new near side front calliper, new front discs and pads, any inspection is welcome. Whilst there it also had a genuine power steering pump fitted due to the original one starting to fail. The power steering system was also fully flushed and topped up with fresh fluid. The underside condition was also inspected and the report back was very positive with the garage saying it was in very good condition. I will mention the rear arches have some surface rust due to being rolled by a previous owner I'm assuming to fit larger wheels (see pictures). With the massive amount of room inside this Japanese estate can be the perfect sleeper for your daily needs or with its 2 punchy turbos it can make for an amazing weekend weapon. bWith less than 5000 chassis being built, a low mileage, well kept model within the UK like this is rare and the car definitely turns heads.
