His estate have now released these cars to be enjoyed by a new generation of enthusiasts, A Brief History, Although an integral part of the newly formed British Motor Corporation (BMC), MG was still referred to as the MG Car Company by everybody in the car industry and by the general public., During the lifetime of the BMC, from 1952 to 1968, three iconic British sports cars were produced:, • MG TF, • MGA, • MGB, Manton Specialist Cars is delighted to be able to offer an exceptional example of each of these classic British sports cars for sale:, • 1954 MG TF, • 1955 MGA, • 1968 MG Roadster, The MG TF was introduced in 1953 and production ceased in 1955. Number built - 9600 cars - all versions. The MG TF is often referred to as 'the last of the square riggers' due to its very strong resemblance to the pre-war Midgets. Launched at the 1953 Motor Show the TF was greeted with mixed reactions from enthusiasts and journalists alike. It was sufficiently different from its predecessors to be classed as a new model but yet continued the traditional T series classic lines.
