This is our much cherished family sunny day car with 102k miles on it. It has had three former keepers and was owned by a close friend from 2002 until I acquired in Oct 2017. It has proven to be very reliable indeed. It has been regularly maintained and goes exceptionally well, as it has a stainless steel Maptun exhaust fitted as well as the excellent Stage 1 Noob tune with a T7 boost control solenoid (This APC is considered much more reliable that the original T5 ones). It also handles better than standard, as it also has a bulkhead steering brace clamp and a chassis brace fitted. These, along with the (Saab) cabin air deflector, really makes the car a joy to drive under most condition but especially on those balmy summer days. The air deflector is well worth having and fits in the boot when not required. Under my ownership, the ACC unit was it repaired in 2017, the sump was replaced due a to crack in March 2020, the rear engine/gearbox mount replaced 3 years ago, the heater blower resistor was replaced in 2021, the retracting aerial was replaced in 2022 and it had a new fuel filter in Dec 2024. Everything all works as it should, although the ac needs re-gassing again. The hood is waterproof (it has had two coats of Fabsil every year and has been recently done within the last 5 months) and works as it should. It comes with two keys and a MOT until 15th Jan 2025. It is also ULEZ compliant. It has been regularly serviced and comes with two spare DICs and some other spares. It is very solid underneath with very little rust and just a few small cosmetic scrapes on body. These wonderful cars are definitely future classics.
